The redesign and expansion of the winery encompasses its extension to the North and East. The building, intended for the storage of wooden barrels and a tasting room, is partially underground and abuts an existing wall to better guarantee the thermal and environmental control inside. To fit in with the surrounding landscape, the facades of the building are clad with slate masonry resembling the typical terracing of the Douro, and the flat roof is covered with earth, which can be cultivated, thereby ensuring that the construction blends seamlessly with the characteristic landscape of the Douro.
